Verify Bluetooth Adapter Dip Switches are Properly Positioned

  • Locate the white dip switches on the Bluetooth Adapter.
  • Verify all of the dip switches are in position "Off".
  • If a dip switch is not in "Off" position, move it to "Off" position.

Connecting the 9 Pin Serial Cable to the Bluetooth adapter and the Lap Pad Adapter

  • Firmly press the connector on the end of the cable marked LCR into the top connector on the Lap Pad Adapter until the two connectors are seated.
  • Next tighten the plastic screw heads by hand.
  • Firmly press the connector on the Bluetooth adapter into the opposite end of cable marked LCR.
  • Using a screw driver, tighten the screws on the Bluetooth adapter into the hex standoff coupling nuts located on the cable connector.
  • Hand tighten the two plastic screws located on the mating connector into the hex standoff coupling nuts.

Connecting the 25 Pin Serial Cable to the Lap Pad Adapter and the Printer

  • Firmly press the connector on one end of the cable into the connector on the Lap Pad Adapter until the two connectors are seated.
  • Using a screw driver, tighten the two screws on the Lap Pad Adapter into the hex standoff coupling nuts.
  • Hand tighten the two plastic screws located on the mating connector into the hex standoff coupling nuts.
  • Firmly press the connector on the other end of the cable into the matching connector on the printer until the two connectors are seated.
  • Hand tighten the two plastic screws.

Connecting the Lap Pad Adapter to the LCRII Register

  • Locate the data cable that is connected to the LCRII register and runs into the cab of the bobtail (It may be connected to a previous printer).
  • Firmly press the connector of the data cable into the connector on the Lap Pad Adapter until seated.
  • Hand tighten the two plastic screws.
